What do I need to know about selling on Etsy.com?
I am interested in selling some vintage items and some homemade crafts on Etsy.com. I am just wondering if anyone has any helpful advice to share about selling on that website.
One thing that I am specifically wondering about is taxes. I am assuming I only need to collect sales tax for the state I live in – MN. Do I just need to collect the tax money and turn it in when I file my taxes next year or is it more in depth than that?
Were there any surprises when you started selling on Etsy.com? Was there anything that was confusing?
I welcome any HELPFUL advice you’d like to share.

Etsy is a fairly easy site to set up shop in, manage and make a profit from. All of my ‘surprises’ there were pleasant ones. However, all the ins and outs would take too much time to explain here. The site itself has an excellent HELP section (top right) and COMMUNITY with Forums, blogs and lots of helpful users to direct you in what you need to do.
