Valerius Gratus
What type of Prutah do i have?
I received an ancient Prutah recently and i was starting to do some Research on when and what type it is. The one i fount that was most similar to my coin was Valerius Gratus Prutah, exept on the Valerius Gratus coin it says “Tib Kai Cap” but on myne, in what seems to be either aincient hebrew, aramic of Phonecian “נצ w(or “u”)oиL” and some other blurry letters. Around the is what seems to be a wreath that is faded like the Valerius Gratus Prutah. On the other side, like the Valerius Gratus, there is a wheat stalk(?) or Palm branch on it and it says “kai”(?).
Photos would be helpful, but you could also contact the people at the link below by clicking on the “Coins Main Page” icon then using the email at the bottom of the index page. I am sure they could help more than I can. By the way, I vote for Hendin 647. Good luck.
