So conservatives, using your logic on taxes if we eliminate state sales taxes what will happen to the economy?

Will consumption shoot off of the charts, spurring our economy? Or will consumer items be a little bit cheaper but not really affecting consumer spending dramatically?
Using your logic; a state sales tax puts a ‘drag’ on consumption and eliminating it will cause consumption to instantly soar. Right?
