Cleaning jewelry from Rwanda, Africa? Alcohol? ?
My mom was in Rwanda a few weeks and she brought souvenirs.. She got me some beautiful, hand-carved wooden jewelry. I want to clean it because while she was there, everyone in her group got some disgusting illness called “jungle crude”, which is like the flu & stomach virus combined. I definitely don’t want to get it.
It’s wooden beaded earrings, necklace, and bracelet. Would Lysol hurt the wood? She got back on Nov. 4th and my dad brought them down yesterday. Also, the part of the earring that goes through the earlobe (dangle earrings) is metal. Would rubbing alcohol work?
