Pirated DVD’s through customs at HKG/SIG/AKL?

I’m travelling from Hong Kong to Auckland, with transit in Singapore. I’m not going into Singapore so won’t be clearing customs, but will they still check my checked in luggage? What’s the possibility of a random check, because from my experience at Changi airport, it’s very possible. Also what about Hong Kong and Auckland? From my experience Hong Kong is too busy, and Auckland is only concerned about drugs and bio hazards. If I get caught in any of these airports, will there be a fine, and if so what will it be? Is it worth it or not? The dvd’s will be in a big checked in suitcase, filled with clothes, souvenirs etc.
