Rock Island
Is the Chicago Metra Rock Island line safe for a lone woman on the weekend during daylight?
Note: this is not the line that goes into Union Station. It is the one that runs from Joliet thru the south side and into LaSalle Street. I already know the other lines are safe…this one is way different as far as path.
I would say to go ahead and take the train. If it’s during the day then you should probably be fine, just stay alert for anyone that looks suspicious. I know that sometimes they have police patrol the stations along that line so that should be an added plus. Also, look for other people and try to always be visible to multiple people so that should anything unfortunate happen someone sees it and can either help or call the police immediately.
