As far as destinations in Bali go, Ubud is completely unique and therefore busy over the year.  The Bali Weather tends to affect the popularity of the seafront resorts more than Ubud.  Although Bali’s wet season is reasonably long, October to May, there’s still plenty to experience in Ubud.  Having the dense rainforest to explore in the wet stormy season, the cultural programs, and the art courses that are always available brings tourists here even when the beaches of Kuta and Sanur are comparatively quiet.  The peak season is still from Apr to Sep, but it is still important that you book sufficiently early so that you can stay in one of Ubuds wonderful hotels or villas.
