Quarter Retired

How to size a saddle…?
My mother bought a retired thoroughbred racehorse…She is learning to ride on a quarter horse first, but she rides western saddle. She said she is leaving me the horse in her will (and of course I can ride it now) but I ride English. If I wanted to buy my own saddle, how would I know the right size to get or have made?
I would have a county saddle fitter come out and fit you and your horse. Even if you don’t purchase one of their saddle ( beautiful, amazingly comfy and durable but very price. Mine was $4000!) They will tell you what you need as far as flap and seat size and whay tree size your horse will need. They can also help you make an existing saddle fit your horse. The rep will give you all the info about what saddle you need and you can find one at your local tack shop or online that is comfy and fits your criteria.
Google county saddlery and use there website to find a rep in your area. My rep is fantastic.
