Pnc Sell

Ccan i cash this in? PLEASE HELP:(?

so i sold an itouch and he gave me a $50 pnc check. it says pay to the order of: CASH. this check is 2 months old can i still cash it in???? PLEASE HELP!!!
i know who he is and i see him everyday.

Was it 2 months old when the buyer gave the check to you or have you sat on it for 2 months?

Accepting a personal check from someone you don’t know is always risky, but a check made out to cash is worse. A 2 month old personal check made out to cash was just plain stupid to accept.

Go to the bank the check is drawn on and see if the check is even any good. It could be a closed account, stolen, or no funds. Chances are pretty good you got taken.
