i have a passage with statistics of argentina and my questions why do i think argentina is mainly catholic and another is why is the main language is spanish help please thanks :S the passage is just population and a story of how theey thought silver came from argentina thats how it got there name but then found out it came from peru no mention of language or culture need bad help its a ‘why do you think’ question on why is it mainy spanish and then mainly catholic religon please help +10 points

About catholicism it has many reasons
1º As a spanish colony catholic church was stablished in here, and every native in the country was converted to this religion (holy inquisicion) After a few generations, it came part of culture. Inmigrants that came iin 19 and 20 century were italian and spanish, both of them catholic countrys.
2º Spanish came here for the first time in 1560, therefor spanish was getting deeper and deeper into culture. When inmigrant european wave came here, Public Education (1860) became true and obligatory, so there was no way you dont speak spanish
