However, you may be able to buy reasonably priced rare coins at a coin shop if you do a bit of research and arm yourself with sound knowledge about the coins that you are looking for, or take an expert along with you when you go.

The internet will open up for you a worldwide market in coins. You only have to browse the Internet to find numerous websites created for collectors, buyers and sellers of coins, located all over the world. But before you deal with any of these, you should first do a bit of research on their dependability. You should read about their terms and policies with regards to refunding money if there should be a problem with the coin you buy from them.

One more variant – to exchange coins with other numismatist. Collectors usually exchange ancient coins of same nominal or equal cost if someone has duplicate specimens.
