NCO in JROTC.. Help?!?

I’m in JROTC (airforce) and just recently, a superier cadet sat me down and told me he was going to commission me as his NCO. I agreed to it, because I know what it is and that it’s a good position to hold at my time, but I have absolutely NO idea as what I’ll be doing, etc. My superior officer is the commander of a few clubs, and therefore chose me as his NCO. Please help me on what I’ll be doing, some tips, any information on the subject!!! Remember, it’s JROTC. Thanks a bunch!!!

The training manual for a newly commissioned lieutenant asks the question, “There is a flagpole and it must be put in the ground and raised up. What is your first command?”.

The correct answer is “Sergeant, get that flag up”..
