National Guard

What happens with national guard FTA if I make a D or lower in a class?

Im in college in the national guard using FTA and I might fail or make a D in this class?
Do I have to pay the government back for just that class. Does it affect my ability to get future fta?

As long as you make a D- or above you will be good to go. If you fail or withdraw after the deadline your account will be locked until that failed class’s FTA is paid back. It will not affect future FTA (unless you fail to pay it back which you will not because they will take it from your drill check if you don’t) but you will not be able to have that class paid for again using FTA unless the state Education Officer waives it (which I usually did if you wrote me a nice letter

For instance if a kid was an Engineering Major and failed Calculus and wrote me saying he needs it for his major and plans to get tutoring I would pay for it again because that is a hard major.

On the other hand if knucklehead B failed “Intro to Art Appreciation” there was no way in h*ll I was paying for that a second time.
