Monument Medal

What is the etiquette for saluting tomb sites (Uniformed Members)?
I’ve been to Arlington National Cemetery, and walked through the national monuments to fallen presidents, soldiers of numerous wars, the grave sites of fallen presidents, Medal of Honor recipients, etc.
My question is NOW that I am active duty Navy, and nobody can seem to give me a straight answer on policy, would I render a salute to the Tomb of the Unknown Solider (maybe at the changing of the guard?), President Kennedy’s tomb, or his memorial, or anything else in that general aspect? It seems appropriate, to me, to render a salute during a wreathing ceremony and while at the grave sights of these individuals, but am not clear on these gestures.
If there’s anyone in the military now that can answer that for me, I would appreciate it! =) Thank You!
You should be able to find the Navy Field Manual or Regulation on when to salute. This does vary by service. One thing you will find that carries across all services is that you salute the National Colors (US Flag trimmed in Gold) when you pass and you salute the US Flag when it passes you. There is no need to salute any tomb or to salute during the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. A wreathing ceremony official or unofficial is simply the placing of flowers at a monument or tomb. No need to salute.
