what is a good gift to buy someone as a token of thanks?

2 friends of mine helped with some remodeling on my house, i want to get them something to show thanks, what would work?

a nice card
take them out for dinner
if you can.. Cook dinner
for females– girls day/night out at you expences
for males— tickets to favorite sports game or concert

and if none of these catch your eye a simple “Thank You if you ever need anything, anything let me know” will do just fine
