San Francisco is linked with Marin County through the Golden Gate Bridge in total brilliance. The connection is one of the architectural wonder of the 20th Century and an evidence of human contention, as it was erected during the years of the Great Depression. For years, the Golden Gate Bridge held the title as the best ever suspension bridge in the world.

Nowadays, walkers and bicyclists are permitted to cross the bridge on pathways with spectacular views of the city, Alcatraz, and the Marin Headlands. The bridge toll for vehicles is five dollars while entering San Francisco.
