How to handle first day back to work after maternity leave?
I’ve been home with my little one for 4 absolutely amazing months – tomorrow is his first full day at daycare and my first full day at work. I feel so incredibly sad – if there were any way I would be able to stay home with him I would jump at the chance, it is just not financially possible right now…..
What was your experience with starting your baby in daycare/going back to work/tips to get through this???? Thanks so much in advance….
My son stayed with my sister, so I made it clear that I was going to call every opportunity and she should call me anytime. I worked retail, so it wasn’t like I was sitting at a desk and could call to frequently. I went back to work after 8 weeks, but only stayed working for 3 months. I couldn’t handle being away from him! Now I have a job where he can go with me.
Good luck. It will be hard, but it might get easier. Or, you will find something that works better.
