How to find piano’s manufacture and model?
Hi All,
I know it may sound ridiculous but I can’t seem to find my piano’s manufacture nor model of it. I’ve got it off my neighbour who had it for ages yet ware unable to tell me anything about it. I went through several websites advising where to find piano serial number yet no instructions what so ever regarding make/model.
The metal plate in side the piano reads SILVER MEDAL INVENTIONS EXHIBITION ESTD 1842 followed by serial number . Does any one have a clue what does it mean? and where make and model can be found?
This is the google page that has the most links for your question. You might have to do a fair bit of research as it sounds like you have a piano that could be worth quite a lot of money if it is in very good condition and works well. It might even be the first piano ever invented!
Also, speak to someone at an auction house.
