Clodius Albinus

Was Imperator Caesar Decimus Clodius Septimius Albinus black?
I ask only because I read that he was from a noble family in Africa. The picture of the bust of him that I saw showed extremely curly hair and beard. The angle of the photo made it difficult to make out his features.
It is extremely doubtful that he was black. Firstly, even though he was born in Africa, his family would have been on patrician Roman descent otherwise he wouldn’t have been able to become emperor. Even if a black man was able to take the title, there would most definitely have been a good deal of mention of the colour of his skin in historical documents and writing of the time, of which we find no mention.
