What does this amulet symbol mean?

I was at a Claire’s jewelry store, and they were selling some bracelets. one had a charm or amulet of a hand with an eye in the center of the palm. All the fingers were of a balanced length, like the pinky and thumb were the same length, the pointer and ring fingers were equal, etc.

If I remember it well, it is used both by Muslims and Jews, Muslims claim that it’s the hand of Muhammad’s daughter, I don’t know about the Jews but I think that it’s used as a “protection from evil” charm in both religions.

According to scientists it was first used by Phoenicians.
