Centennial Token

Steam train token help?
I have a big silver Token
on the front it has a steam train and says “FIRST STEAM TRAIN TO AURORA” “1853″
ON THE BACK IT SAYS
“AURORA”
“1863-1963″
“CENTENNIAL”
“CANADA”
What is it?
It is considered a Canadian trade token. They are made by private mints to celebrate events for towns or cities and are silver dollar size but made of copper/nickel so look silver. Most are good for a $1 or more between two dates and have to be spent at the merchants in that town or city. Others are just a souvenir of the event in that case they are really a medal if no value is given. They are collected in Canada as well as the USA, I have some I got from Nova Scotia as well as Prince Edward island. The values range from $5 to $20, you may find one for sale on ebay.
