Appreciating the Uniqueness of Spanish Art and Architecture
Many countries these days have state of the art architectural designs and grand museums; one country that is much talked about when it comes to those two categories is Spain. Spain is basically The Tourist Destination for people who want to get the chance to see a culture which is both old and new simultaneously. Its museums are enlisted as some of the world’s best, and its locals are fortunate enough to have an access to such great pieces.
Planning your route can really make a variance in terms of how long youspend time travelling on the road versus the time you actually have to take pleasure from the sights of Spain. Before heading off to Spain, you can help yourself prepare by taking short language courses like those found in Rocket Spanish, which provides free basic lessons that cover both the Spanish language and culture. Rocket Spanish lessons can help you learn the Spanish language as it employs various study methods for a very effective learning experience.
If you want to see a truly unique and magnificent architectural wonder, visit the Temple Expiatory de la Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, Catalonia. The church was designed by the famous architect, Antonio Gaudi who persevered on this project and committed 15 years to it. You can go tothis building day or night and it’s a thing of beauty in a lot of aspects on both times of the day; during the day you can see the fine points outside the church, but during night time, the church is full of life with the many lights that light it up like something out of a fairytale.
The de la Sagrada Familia church’s construction started way back in 1882, but the design is very convoluted and delicate that the construction is still underway and it will be finished estimatedly by 2026. You can envision how much work goes into it to merit centuries of construction, right? And it is thought that some artifacts have been existent centuries back, even before the time of Christ.
Indeed, a lot of their artifacts are illustrations of the culture of wine drinking, wine growing, and wine making from various periods and different countries and societies. The museum is actually the result of the aspirationof the Vivancos Family who have been wine growers for four generations already; they have pulled together the different artifacts from all over the world and have kept them under one roof for the public to appreciate and enjoy. Spain is never thrifty when it comes to investing on their arts and culture, and this is magnified in view of the fact that the Museo del Prado houses some of the most al-embracing collection of art pieces and paintings in Europe. Not to mention, that it also has a collection of rarecoins and medals, as well as rare sculptures and vast assortment of prints and drawings and so much more.
Spain has plenty of choices to offer tourists; the museums are grand and attention-grabbing and are truly worth the trip. There are lots of things to be seen and visited and all of them will make your stay in Spain worth your while.
