What type of volunteering should I do for Duke of Edinburgh bronze award?
I’m considering to apply to do the duke of edinburgh award AKA D of E
but i’m not sure what type of service i should do?
should i do
animal care (help out at my riding stables)
child care (help out at a nursery for 0-5 year olds)
or St Johns ambulance?
if you have any other ideas or experience please tell me thanx ;]
Child care is really fun because I went to a nursery for 2 weeks work experience and I loved it.
Or St Johns ambulance is really useful and is also meant to be quite interesting.
Animal care sounds quite tiring, unless you like doing that sort of thing for a few hours.
I suppose you mean service for d of e? I know some people who worked at a charity shop and did first aid (which is like st johns ambulance). Other voluntary work could be helping out at sunday church (waitressing etc) for a couple of hours.
Also my friend ran the race for life for her service, which helps the community under fund raising, she wrote about how she trained regularly and got it signed by the d of e coordinator.

I wish I did it when I had the chance because the expedition sounds like so much fun! But now I have too much work to do and I need to focus on school stuff…so I hope it goes well for you.
