Bronz Medal
Please Vetrens only from any branch of service, served at any time.?
I was just curious, but what was the medal the Bronz star awarded to. Was because of Valor, Heroism? or was it for what duty position you held? I would like to know? What was used for in WW2, Korea, Vietnam, etc…? Please help.
The bronze, as well as the silver stars are awarded for valour in combat, although any “heroic act” may be enough for its award. To my knowledge, these are only awarded during combat/wartime situations, so if someone is wearing either of these stars, he or she deserves your respect.
Also, the Silver Star is a higher award than the Bronze Star.
The only higher awards are the Navy Cross (and the equivalents for the Air Force and Army), and the Congressional Medal of Honor.
