Olympic artistic gymnastics?

How many medals are there to be won? Is there just men’s and women’s gymnastics (i.e. one medal for each) or are there other categories like there are in swimming (freestyle, breaststroke backstroke, butterfly, 100X, 200X, 400X, 800X, etc)?

For women there are 6 possible medals to be won in the following categories:

team competition
all around
vault (specialized event)
beam (specialized event)
floor (specialized event)
uneven bars (specialized event)

For the men, there are 8 possible medals

team
all around
vault (specialized event)
floor (specialized event)
high bar (specialized event)
parallel bars (specialized event)
pommel horse (specialized event)
rings (specialized event)

anything that is not a specialized event requires the participation on all the apparatuses
