Which military branch is easier on a marrage, the Navy or Army?
I’m 19 and I’m planning on getting married before I enlist in either the Army or Navy. Me and my fiance are committed to staying together and sticking by each other, I’m deciding between the Navy or the Army, and I was wondering which branch would be easier on a marrage? I’m aware that any military branch puts a stress on a marrage, I just want to know which of these two put the least amount. Any info on this subject would be terrific.
Those two are both really tough on marriage. You two will have to learn to be comfortable being apart from each other a lot, either way. Navy does rotations out to sea in peace time and war time. The Army spends about 50% of the time deployed to Afghanistan or Iraq. Supposedly, in a couple of years, they are trying to give Soldiers more time at home between combat rotations and/or shorter rotations. But right now, Army guys usually spend one year on deployment, then one year at home. If we ever reach peace time again, the Army will be better.
