Why was the ancient Olympic Games banned ?
I need to know because I’m doing a project of the Olympics and I’m doing the ancient Olympic games. I don’t know what “suppressed” means or this thing I found on this website “The first Olympic Games were held in 776 B.C. (traditional date) and the last in A.D. 393, when the Christian Byzantine Emperor Theodosius I abolished them because they were a remnant of the pagan religions”.
