do they need these things?
c don’t mistake me…..we all know abinav bindra earned a old medal for india……n hats off to him….but he was born in a royal family…been coached in a good environment n hence it is his duty to get it….but how about de boxers….they are not born in a rich family and not so well versed in their sport either but they too did their best……my question is why these advertising companies,sponsors everything knocks bindras way?and how about the other two?why this partiality?if he get his sponsors and name and fame and all do u think he ll perform he same in the next olympics?n tats wat is happ in cricket nowadays even if they dont play they are getting money indirectly?r they really playing for the country or for money?????
You are absolutely right. India have a large population but still we got just one gold.
A good infrastructure and government support is required if India want to excel in sports arena.
Presently only rich sports persons can afford good coachs to train them in India and if required to go abroad for training.
This is the duty of media to pay attention to make other sports popular also but they are giving much publicity to cricket only. Companies also should come forward to sponsor sports persons who took part and did well in Olympics and also others who can excel in sports if supported.
Bindra won the gold medal on his own without any support from outside sources such as Government and sports department and other agencies.
